Solid Waste Management & Recycling

Great news! The Recycling Center reopens on Tuesday, May 5th under normal business hours with limited services.

The Recycling Center has been modified to allow for drive-through access with one entrance area and a separate exit area, allowing one to three cars in the Center at a time. To protect our employees from COVID-19 exposure, recycling will be drop-off only without assistance.

Access to the Recycling Center will be from the west. Customers in their vehicles waiting to enter the recycling drive-through access should form a line on “A” Street. Customers should remain in their vehicles while waiting to enter the Center.

Recyclable items that will be accepted during this time are:

  • Glass, aluminum, steel, plastic, cardboard, paper, and sensitive documents for shredding

Recyclable items that will not be accepted at this time are:

  • TVs, computer screens, household hazardous waste, used cooking oil, any items requiring personal assistance to unload, and items normally placed in the Give-and-Take section

We strongly recommend sorting your recyclables by type beforehand to increase drop-off speed! We appreciate your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
