Sexually Transmitted Disease and HIV Testing and Counseling (STD Clinic)
Confidential testing for STDs and HIV / AIDS is available by appointment on Wednesdays only. The STD clinic provides no-cost, confidential testing for the following sexually transmitted infections: gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and HIV. The program identifies cases of sexually transmitted diseases, assuring that all cases have been treated correctly, educate the public on risk factors and prevention methods, and break the chain of infection by locating and notifying contacts of known infections.
HIV blood testing is offered free and by appointment, Monday through Friday, in addition to the STD clinic HIV testing on Wednesdays.
Rapid testing and oral testing may be available through AIDS Project of the Ozarks (APO). APO can be contacted by calling (417) 624-5788.
Pregnancy Testing, Temporary Medicaid, and/or MoHealthNet Application
Confidential pregnancy testing, temporary Medicaid, and MoHealthNet (previously Medicaid or MC+) applications are available to women and adolescents without parental consent.
Pregnancy testing for Temporary Medicaid / MoHealthNet applications are offered to Joplin residents on a walk-in basis. Please bring photo ID, proof of residence and household income. Testing is not offered on holidays. The days and times testing is conducted is listed below. For more information, you may call (417) 623-6122.

What Is Medicaid or MoHealthNet for Pregnant Women?
MoHealthNet (previously Medicaid and MC+) for pregnant women is a program for U.S. citizens who are pregnant. Non-U.S. citizens are not eligible for MoHealthNet, however they may be eligible for temporary Medicaid.
What is Temporary Medicaid?
Temporary Medicaid During Pregnancy (TEMP) is a program administered by the Missouri Department of Social Services to provide early access to prenatal care to pregnant women for a temporary period until they can apply and begin receiving full MoHealthNet benefits.
